Surrounded by rice fields, Sari Api Studio is a place to explore your
creativity. Founding owner, Suzan Kohlik, offers various workshops working with
clay, hand building or wheel throwing for any level, while her husband, Wayan
Astina, offers day-workshops in Balinese woodcarving.
Maybe you've always wanted to give clay a try? Maybe you learned using the wheel in high school, and have dreamed of trying it again.
Located 3km outside of Ubud, Sari Api Ceramic Studio is a beautiful open studio surrounded by rice fields, the ideal place to explore your creativity. The founder Suzan Kohlik is a graduate of The Centre Doret Ceramic Art School of Switzerland and has been teaching ceramics since 1985.
At Sari Api we offer a range of workshops for all levels and ages, full courses for more committed students and on-going classes both for adults and kids for expats spending longer time in Bali. We also offer a full-day workshop in wood carving, led by Wayan Astina.
Please sign up for ceramic classes early in your stay, because we need about 3 weeks to complete your work if you want to take it home yourself, or we can always make arrangements for shipping your treasures.
For a look at Sari Api Ceramics, please come to Sari Api Gallery right next to Juice Ja Café on Dewi Sita Street near the football field Ubud, tel: (0361) 971 056.
