JED - Jaringan Ekowisata Desa Village Eco tourism Network in Bali – Kerobokan, Kuta

Explore the forgotten parts of Bali and learn about what life is actually like here with JED, a small eco tourism network owned and run by four

villages and a Balinese environmental NGO, the Wisnu Foundation. Depending on which village you go to, your guide will be a local farmer, weaver or priest who will lead you through magical forest-gardens in the highlands, down the ‘criminal street’ of an ancient fortress village, out into the patchwork seaweed farms of a sun-soaked island or ducking under the dark, thorny branches of a snake-fruit plantation…

Both day trips and overnight homestays are available and profits stay in the villages to support local development and conservation projects.
