First up is Kafe, mostly due to its homely, timeless ambience; Kafe is an Ubud institution. Located in central Ubud, for over 10 years Kafe has provided healthy world cuisine dishes with a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian options to Ubud locals and travelers. Open from 7am until 11pm, Kafe serves up real artisan coffee with a KICK, scrummy breakfasts, soups, curries, salads, desserts as well as knock out superfood smoothies and cleansing juices. Kafe is also great for kids and the whole family.
2. Taksu Garden Café
Jln. Goutama Selatan, Ubud
A jungle paradise in the heart of Ubud with complimentary wifi, breezy garden bliss, and Kintamani coffee roasted on the premises. The best buffet breakfast and lunch in town - all you can eat with daily specials. Superfast wifi and breakout spaces for meetings, and even a kids menu and a terrace with plenty of space. Sunday evening Indonesian Buffet from 6pm, as well as award winning rawfood and vegan dining. Also, woodfired pizza and house-made pasta, all in a tranquil tropical garden.
3. Bali Buda Café

One of the oldest and first health food resturants and shops in Bali, Bali Buda has been serving organic, MSG free meals since 1994. With 5 locations across the island, Bali Buda serves vegan, raw and vegetarian dishes and has a whole foods shop attached selling organic foods, natural household and body products – they also deliver too! Bali Buda is a truly inspirational, alternative café with the focus and ethos on sharing conversation and really enjoying good, wholesome food. They have something for the whole family, Bali Buda serves salads, sandwiches, soups, as well as pasta dishes, burgers and Indonesian food and a huge delicious variety of healthy juices and smoothies, you’ll be spoilt for choice!
4. Warung Sopa
Jln. Sugriwa and Jln. Nyuh Kuning, Ubud
A cozy vegetarian restaurant, Warung Sopa is the Balinese brother of Sopa Café in Madrid, Spain. The Warung Sopa owners are Japanese and Spanish and share their unique cuisines with you in the quaint family friendly warung in Ubud. Warung Sopa is 100% vegetarian with a large amount of vegan food options. A firm favorite for yogis who indulge in the vegetable soups and gazpachio, with vegetarian nasi campur buffet, gyozas and raw vegan desserts. As well as wheatgrass shots and scrumptious chai tea.
Located in 2 locations in Ubud, one on a quieter road just off central Ubud on Jln. Sugriwa and the second Warung Sopa is in Nyuh Kuning village just outside of central Ubud with a comfortable and calm garden. On Wednesdays in the garden in Nyuh Kuning, Warung Sopa there is a fresh organic market with vegetables, cakes and jams for sale.
5. Casa Luna Restaurant

For over 25 years, Casa Luna has been serving wholesome, affordable healthy food. Located in central Ubud on the main Jln. 6. Bridges Bali
Jln. Raya Campuhan, Ubud
Located at one of Ubud’s most exotic locations, with breathtaking views overlooking the jungle and Wos River, Bridges’ multi-leveled restaurant has a lot to offer. Within Bridges restaurant there is the Riverside dining room, perfect for casual or romantic fine dining moments and memories. The menu offers delicacies from East and West and there is a tasting menu available, also suitable for vegetarians. Bridges is also home to DIVINE, one of Ubud's best wine and cocktail bar down towards the river in the Bridges building. Try and taste an exotic and eclectic mix of world wines paired with amazing bar food whilst overlooking the natural jungle vegetation of Ubud. The Bridges retail wine shop has with around 350 labels one of Bali's most extensive wine lists (AND they also do deliveries – win, win!).
7. Juice Ja Café
Jln. Dewi Sita, Ubud
Open all day from 7am – 11pm, Juice Ja Cafe on Jln. Dewi Sita serves up delicious homemade fresh and healthy meals with an incredible selection of juices (hence the name). Not exclusively to vegetarians, however everything is prepared with fresh vegetables and fruits from their own local organic farm just outside of Ubud. Dedicated to using local ingredients as much as possible, Juice Ja Café have been endorsed by the local chapter of International Slow Food. Juice Ja also participate at the local Ubud Organic Farmers Market twice a week, where they sell produce from the garden and homemade products like jams and cookies, so if you can’t make it to the café – make sure you get to the farmer's market.
8. The Garden Kafe at The Yoga Barn
Jln. Pengoseken, Ubud
Organically inspired, The Garden Kafe is the little sister of KAFE on Jln. Hanoman. However catered more towards a vegetarian, Ayurvedic, raw and vegan diet for people after rejuvenation and cleansing.
Set within the lush and tranquil surroundings of The Yoga Barn, The Garden Kafe is a culinary innovation in healing foods, using organically grown produce from a local farm just outside of Ubud. The Garden Kafe displays an array of delicious fresh foods ranging from breakfasts with super smoothies to ‘big bowl salads’ t unique raw tacos, lasagna, mini pizza and desserts. Our favorites are the vegetarian buffets on Sunday afternoons after Family dance and every other Monday for the Monday movie nights at the Yoga Barn.
