This studio apartment, in the traditional Balinese farming village of Abangan, is located 10 minutes north of Ubud on the private property of an American women who has lived in Bali for over 20 years. Surrounded by rice fields and a large lush garden, the studio offers a quiet, safe refuge from the bustle of Ubud. It has a fully equipped kitchenette, large outdoor deck overlooking rice fields to the east, an outdoor hotwater bathtub under a glass roof, and a separate toilet/sink. The studio has lots of storage space, so sorely missed in most Balinese rentals, to keep valuables, books, etc. There is also a large table for artists who plan to work while in Bali.

A cleaning service is provided once a week and parking is available for a motorbike or car as personal transportation will be necessary to get to and from town. The only thing the studio does not have is a phone or internet access. This should not pose a problem as Ubud is filled with internet cafes and a few free hot spots. It is also cheap and easy to buy or rent a cell phone for the duration of your stay.
