Narasoma Home Stay on

A Home Away from Home — in the heart of Ubud

Narasoma just after dawn
Ubud – Bali
Narasoma means 'Divine nectar', a gift from the Gods which has the power to bless and purify. In the Bali Hindu religion (Buda Siwa), Buda means the God within and Siwa means the God without. (This is pure Bali Hinduism, unmixed with Buddhism.)

A Home Away from Home

Just down a little lane off busy Monkey Forest Road, Narasoma is a family house and accommodation surrounded by coconut palms. Previously called Lastri House, our homestay has been transformed with its new name although the owners have not changed. We welcome you into our family to experience life in a Balinese compound with us.

Narasoma offers 5 spacious and clean airy rooms with lots of sunlight. All rooms have ceiling fans and hot water, some rooms have bathtubs.

A shared refrigerator is available for guests to use. Coffee and tea are provided all day. Three of the rooms have Javanese antique beds and two rooms have ensembles. All rooms have wonderful views overlooking Ubud and Mount Agung. On the top floor you will be able to see the mountains to the west of Bali. The sunrises and sunsets are great!

Breakfast is included and there are special rates for long-term stays. All prices are subject to change through busy or slow seasons. Room prices are very affordable – for current room rates please contact us by email: or telephone: +62 (0361) 973 404 or

Located in the heart of Ubud, Bali's cultural centre, Narasoma is opposite the Ubud football field on Monkey Forest Road behind the public school SD 1, down Beji Lane.

Ubud offers many shops, restaurants, galleries and scenic walks through the rice paddies. Colorful and centrally located, Ubud is a base from which many attractions around the Island can be visited. Because Bali's Hindu traditions remain strong, you are likely to encounter the many temple ceremonies and street processions that are part of every day life.

Connected to Narasoma is:
Warung Gaia – Good range of vegetarian and mixed Indonesian and western food, located on Dewi Sita Street.
