A Contemplative Healing Program
with Gisela Von Keiser Grenkowitz
at Bali Mandala Resort
April 15 - 29, 2005
Two weeks of Maitri Space Awareness will be offered at the Bali Mandala on the
Island of Bali! Maitri means loving kindness to oneself and others. Space means
returning to our natural state of openness and relaxation. Awareness means
conscious attention to the present moment.
Maitri Space Awareness is an environmental practice that heightens awareness of
sense perceptions as well as our capacity to communicate directly with the true
nature of ourselves and our world.
By taking five different yogic postures while wearing their correspondent
colored glasses, we explore our personal relationship to the five Buddha
Familys, what is ultimately our inherent enlightened style. Offering this
practice in the idyllic setting of Bali Mandala naturally invites us to
intensify the practice of kindness towards ourselves and others.
Maitri in Paradise will be designed to give us plenty of free time to relax and
be, with no agenda.
In that time we can schedule massage, take walks on the beach or watch the
dolphins at sunset. Group and individual meeting time will be offered to
explore the five Buddha wisdoms as they are experience, one per day. In an open
spacious and relaxed atmosphere, we are invited to look deeply into the
practice of loving ourselves and offering genuine kindness to others.

The "Bali Mandala" is a unique contemplative resort located on the
north shore of the Bali Sea featuring tropical views set in a spacious and
tranquil atmosphere. Amidst coconut palms, fruit trees and lush tropical
gardens are arranged 11 bungalows, each with a different design ranging from
intimate octagons to two story villas with veranda.
The program will be held in the "Ganesha Hall", a spacious, octagon
shaped temple, and the "Sariswati Balé", an open air Bali
style meeting place, both overseeing the sea. Delicious meals are served in the
two story open air restaurant with breathtaking ocean views. The staff is well
know for preparing traditional and wholesome foods, including any special
requests. There is a pool with Watsu depth for aquatic activities and a
wellness spa featuring a variety of massages from Aryuvedic to traditional
Balinese massage, called "Mandi Lulur". |
