Belly Dance Technique for Health and Inner Beauty
This session covers Nigma’s “core body vocabulary” used in her choreographies. Its recommended that everyone, especially beginners, participate in this workshop.
Afternoon Session: 3.30-6.30pm
Oriental Choreography
This session covers the movements, combinations, transitions and sequences that form a Basic Oriental Belly Dance choreography.
Sunday, August 13th
Morning Session: 11am-1:30pm
Veil Technique and Choreography
This session covers basic handling of the veil as well as veil coordination with body movements and combinations. Veil Movement sequences and
transitions will be combined in a full veil choreography.
Afternoon Session 3.30-6.30pm
Tribal Fusion Belly Dance
This session covers body alignment, technique for hips, arms and upper body, traveling steps, turns, combinations and movement sequences used in Tribal.
Fusion Bellydance as well as emphasizing self-expression through movement.

Nigma’s Bio
Nigma is an accomplished Bellydancer, choreographer, Oriental Dance instructor and founder of the “El-Oasis” Bellydance & Arabic Folklore School. She is also founder and director of two Oriental Dance companies: “El Oasis” and “Harmattan”. Nigma spreads the art of Bellydance (Oriental, Tribal and Folkloric style) globally through shows, classes and workshops.
Nigma is also a composer, lyric writer, singer and arranger. Her music creations are influenced by the Arabic, Celtic, Scandinavian, Balcanic and Indian traditions. Born in Poland from Roman Gypsy descent, she showed a strong talent for music and dance at a very young age as well as a curiosity for the exotic world.
After her dance training in Poland begun at the age of 6 in ballet and folkloric dance, she went on to study Flamenco and Arabic Oriental Dance with dancers from around the globe. Nigma has studied with and been influenced by belly dance legends such as: Yousry Sharif, Raqia Hassan, Mahmoud Reda, Farida Fahmy, Jehan Kamal, Bellydance Superstars: Jillina, Suhaila Salimpour, Tamalyn Dallal, Saida, Amar Gamal & Kaeshi (Bellyqueen), Carolina Nericcio (FatChanceBellydance, Tribal Style), Amir Thaleb (Argentina), Fadua Chuffi (Brasil); Diana (France) and Nour (Rusia); Gloria Alba, Eva Chacón and Nesma (Spain).
Besides performing in her native Poland and Spain, Nigma has performed abroad at the International Festival of Young Musical Arts and Dance Creators in Berlin, Folklore Festivals of Sofia and Varna, "Radost Europy" International Festival in Belgrad, Fantasy Bellydance Festival in San Leandro, California and alternative music and oriental dance clubs in New York.
Recently, Nigma has collaborated with two American Bellydance Superstars: Tamalyn Dallal and Kaeshi presenting workshops and the Show “1001 Faces of the Oriental Woman” on tour around Spain, to celebrate the International Dance Day 2006. The Ediciones Tutor Publishing House has comissioned Nigma to give an expert assessment of the Spanish translation and to write the prologue for Tamalyn Dallal’s “Bellydancing For Fitness” which will be published in Spain at the end of 2006. Among her numerous accomplishments and honors, Nigma has been awarded the title of International Dance Council Member by a UNESCO’s World Dance Organization. She has been invited to teach, perform and give a lecture at the 20th World Dance Congress in Athens, Greece.
Nigma is currently on tour in South East Asia, performing and giving workshops in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Jarkarta. We are honored to help Nigma kick start her tour here in Bali. |
